BILL WILTZ

COACH, ADMINISTRATOR AND OFFICIAL
He was the head boys’ basketball coach at Charleroi High School from 1996-2002 and 2007-2023. Overall, Wiltz compiled a 256-232 cumulative record, including 12 WPIAL and two PIAA state tournament playoff appearances. This includes one WPIAL quarterfinal and one semifinal showing.
Served as Belle Vernon Area High School’s head boys’ basketball coach from 1992-1996, compiling a 52-48 cumulative record with one WPIAL and PIAA state tournament appearances. This includes one trip to the WPIAL semifinals.
Wiltz, who was an assistant basketball coach at Charleroi from 1974-1992, compiled a cumulative head coaching overall record of 308-280.
Bill served as an assistant football coach at Charleroi from 1984-1995 and 2020-2021.
Athletic Director
Served as Charleroi’s athletic director from 1992-2002 and 2004-2015.
Served many years as the recording secretary for the Tri-County Athletic Director’ Association (TRICADA).
He was selected as the TRICADA Athletic Director of the Year in 2015.
OFFICIAL
Served many years as a PIAA baseball umpire and basketball official. In baseball he worked the WPIAL championship game at Three Rivers Stadium and the PA Division II Collegiate State Final at California (Pa.) University.
