highest finish in Cal State’s history
 Division II national finalist in 1979 with a 67-0 dual meet record
 Selected as first alternate on the 1980 U.S. Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Team
 Silver Medalist at the 1976 Junior World Championships
 Inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 1990
 Inducted into the first Cal State Hall of Fame class in 1995
 Head wrestling coach at Cal State from 1985 – 1988, coaching
6 All-Americans and one national champion.
