BRUCE DAL CANTON

Bruce played baseball for California High School and became a standout pitcher for California State College and was a member of the 1962 – `63 NACA District 30 Championship Club. His .130 ERA is a school record. He pitched in the Major League for 11 years for the National League Pittsburgh Pirates, and Atlanta Braves and for the American League Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox, and has been coaching in the Atlanta Braves farm system since 1982.

Named the Pitcher of the Month for May 1971 and June 1973 Awarded the Professional Baseball Achievement Award Mon Valley Pro Athlete of the Year Award in 1969
Recipient of the Illustrious California Award from California University Washington County Hall of Fame, Distinguished Athlete Big Ten Hall of Fame
