COACHING

  • Beginning his 21st season in 2023 at W&J, Mountain has compiled a progam-best 570-279 (.671) cumulative record.
  • He has guided the Presidents to 13 post-season appearances (nine NCAA, four ECAC) and won 10 Presidents’ Athletic Conference championships and 14 PAC regular season titles.
  • Mountain led the 2017 and 2019 W&J teams to the NCAA Division III College World Series. The 2017 team won a school-record 42 games and was the NCAA Division III national runner-up.
  • During his head coaching era, the Presidents have produced 133 All-PAC players, 42 All-Region selections, and 10 All-Americans.
  • Mountain has received PAC Coach of the Year honors 10 times and is a two-time ABCA Mideast Regional Coach of the Year recipient.
  • He served as an assistant baseball coach at John Carroll for two seasons before coming to W&J.

ATHLETE

  • One of the most decorated pitchers in NCAA Division III, Mountain was twice named the North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year and led Allegheny to its first NCAA III World Series appearance in 2000.
  • At Allegheny he won 26 games and pitched 239.2 innings, both career school records, and ranks second in career strikeouts (211) and fourth in career strikeouts with 185.
  • Named a second-team ABCA/Rawlings All-American and first-team All-Region pitcher following his senior season, Mountain was named to the NCAC 20th Anniversary Baseball Team and was inducted into Allegheny’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.
