Mark Marshall’s wrestling career began with a State Championship at the Junior Olympics in 1973 and a Junior Olympic Freestyle National Championship in 1976. As the co-captain of the Burgettstown High School Wrestling Team, he was a WPIAL Champion and a PIAA Qualifier in 1981. Mark received a full athletic scholarship to wrestle at Indiana State University and wrestled for the Sycamores from 1982-1985, earning four letters.

As captain of the Sycamores, he was ranked ninth in USA Amateur Wrestling News in 1985. Marshall ended his career at Indiana State with a 102-31 record.

After college, Mark became the wrestling coach at Moon High School where three of his wrestlers qualified for the PIAA State Championships from 1989-1990. From
1993-1995, he became the head assistant wrestling coach at California University of Pennsylvania. At Cal, he coached two national champions and six All-Americans.

Some of Mark’s other accomplishments include:

• Recipient of the Outstanding Young Man of America Award in 1987
• Completing the Marine Corps Marathon from 2004-2006
• Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Capella University in 2007

Currently, Mark is an assistant wrestling coach at Seton Hill University.
