  • All-State Swimmer – all 4 years
  • All-District III in Track & Field – all 4 years
  • First L-L League’s Flipping Long Jumper (only 4 people in the country doing it at that time 1974)

Springfield College (Athlete)

  • Four time All-American swimmer

Warwick Academy, Warwick, Bermuda – 1979 – 1983

  • Gained international experience in Bermuda as the first Aquatics Director at Warwick Academy.
  • During his time in Bermuda, he coached numerous national champions and record holders

York College of PA 1984 – 1988

  • Head Swimming Coach at YCP with an 84.7% winning percentage

Washington & Jefferson College 1988 – Present

  • Winningest swimming coach in W&J history: 431-177-2 in 26 years
  • Named PAC Swimming Coach of the Year – 15 times
  • 9 PAC titles
  • Coached 8 NCAA National Champions
  • 17 NCAA All-American
  • 33 NCAA National qualifiers
  • 243 PAC Champions
  • 58 PAC Records broken
  • 203 W&J School Records broken
  • Honored by the American Swimming Coaches Association for Outstanding Achievement: 2006 -2008
  • Honored by the CSCAA with the Master Coach Award in 1996
  • Head Water Polo Coach from 1999- 2004, produced nationally ranked top-10 teams all 4 years
  • Awarded CWPA Southern Division Water Polo Coach of the Year – 2002
  • Honored with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Outstanding Service award-1996 by W&J
  • An equally impressive and important accomplishment is his team’s success out of the water. W&J’s teams have consistently earned CSCAA All-Academic recognition for having one of the highest GPA’s in the country.
