PAUL P. WEBER

Paul P. Weber, a native of Hill Station, graduated in 1939 from Washington High School where he won four varsity football letters on teams which had winning seasons.

Weber received a football scholarship to George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and played one year on the freshman team and three on the varsity. He entered the Marine Corps in 1943 and received a Silver Star and two Purple Hearts for his involvement with the Fourth Marine Division in the Iwo Jima invasion.

After being wounded overseas, he returned to George Washington where he received a degree in 1947.

He became a teacher and coach at Falls Church High School in Fairfax County, VA. near Washington, serving as assistant football coach for seven years, head coach for seven and athletic director for 15 years until his retirement in June,1976.

The football stadium at Falls Church is named Paul Weber Stadium in his honor.

Weber now resides in Naples, FL.
