Beck Lee’s high school career included a series of triumphs, including placing second at the WPIAL Championships in the 800-meters and fourth in the PIAA State Championships while unknowingly battling stress fractures in both legs. She set school records in the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m, which still stand. After stopping softball her junior year, she won the WPIAL title in the 1600m and placed second in the 800m, later finishing third in both events at the PIAA state meet. At the USATF Junior Olympics, she made the National Championships in 2000 and earned fourth place in the 1500m in 2001-2002. Anna later earned all-region honors and helped Clarion’s cross-country team place second at the NCAA II Regional in 2002. As a marathoner, she qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2012. In 2016, while pregnant, Anna set the Guinness World Record for the fastest 5k on crutches for a female at 44:20, beating the men’s record.
