YEARLY BANQUET

The Washington Greene Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame induction Ceremonies Banquet is a memorable affair. It is a unique gathering of people running the gamut of athletic achieve-ments. The ceremonial banquet is held on a Friday evening in June.

ANNUAL MEETING SCHEDULE

JANUARY
Final approval of current year list of inductees and final vote by chapter members.

FEBRUARY
Committee appointments for Ceremonial, Banquet, tickets, awards, etc.

MARCH
Progress report on Induction Ceremonies, program advertisement sales

APRIL
Program completion, progress report on Induction Ceremony

MAY
Final arrangements for Induction Ceremony. On the Monday before Ceremonies all committee chairmen meet for detail. The annual Hall of Fame Ceremonies are held in June.

JUNE
Final report, Ceremonies, Banquet, Program, general critique of all aspects of Ceremonial and recommendation for improvement. Vacation

AUGUST
Plans for fall activities, Appoint induction chairman and committee

SEPTEMBER
Discuss upcoming events

OCTOBER
Nomination and election of officers

NOVEMBER
First presentation of nominees

DECEMBER
Second and final presentation of nominees
and vote of executive committee for final approval.

CRITERIA FOR INDUCTION INTO THE PENNSYLVANIA SPORTS HALL OF FAME WASHINGTON-GREENE COUNTY CHAPTER
NOMINATION OF LIVING INDIVIDUALS

1. Must have been retired from the sport or position a minimum of two (2) years, or
2. Been in the sport or position a minimum of four (4) years or
3. Other extenuating circumstances to be approved by a majority of Executive Committee
4. Any member in good standing may nominate for induction and present credentials for consideration.
5. Insure, if elected, will attend Annual Induction Ceremonies.

NOMINATION OF DECEASED INDIVIDUALS

1. Must have been deceased a minimum of two (2) years prior to nomination.
2. Furnish name of Nominee’s representative who will represent the deceased individual at the Annual Induction Ceremony.

INDUCTEE
Nominees must have been active participants as team members, coaches, individuals, managers, all sport officials or promotional, administrative or new media personnel.

All who have paid their $10.00 membership fee are invited to attend chapter meetings and assist in the identification of potential award recipients. Members who have attained their 21st birthday and who have attended a minimum of four previous meetings in the current year; shall be eligible to vote for the election of chapter officers and other chapter business.
