1982 Chartiers-Houston High School

Team “wrestled up” in the PIAA AAA classification despite a roster of 20 wrestlers and 460 students in grades 9 through 12.

Defeated district powerhouse wrestling teams…North Allegheny, Hempfield, Mt. Lebanon, Canon-McMillan and Trinity. Also beat WPIAL AA Champion, Washington High School.

The 1982 team was named the Observer-Reporter Washington / Greene County Wrestling Team of the Decade as well as Chartiers-Houston’s “Best Ever” sports team.
