Under head coach Bill Connors, the 1982 Ringgold Rams football team won the WPIAL Quad-A Division II championship with a 12-1 record. The Rams overcame a difficult four-year stretch to win the championship, including a dramatic 6-3 victory over New Castle in the WPIAL final. Ringgold featured standout players like lineman Sid Campbell, running back Glenn Davis, and quarterback Scott Henson, among others.
