Signed as an amateur free agent by the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1952
Played 3rd base for the Los Angeles Dodgers and St Louis Cardinals from 1958 to 1960.
On April 18, 1958 he became the first Dodger to hit a home run in the city of Los Angeles. This was also the winning run as the Dodgers won their first game in LA.
