Faiella coached youth softball and is one of the original founders of the Trinity-Washington Interarea Softball Teams (TWIST).
He was TWIST’s treasurer, in-house umpire scheduler, and coordinator of special events from TWIST’s inception in 1984 until his retirement after the 2021 season. Faiella also coordinated the Fall Fast Pitch program and managed or coached 12U through 15U teams for more than 15 years as well as serving as 9U coach-pitch president for 15 years and a 12U slow pitch manager for 22 years.
Jim has also coached Trinity’s girls cross country team since 2004. His teams have won three Washington County AAA championships along with four runner-up showings. Under his guidance, the Hillers have also won two Big 8 Conference titles and two Grove City Invitational championships.
A standout scholastic golfer, sprinter, and youth baseball player who is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Faiella has served as Trinity’s public address announcer for varsity football games since 1993, as well as over 25 years announcing wrestling and more than 15 years with both basketball teams.
