JAMES JANFLONE
James Janflone of Washington will also be honored for his contributions to bowling in the district.
Janflone, as a member of the Washington Industrial League, won the league championship in 1938 and was city champion in 1942 and city and county champion in 1946.
He also bowled in Metropolitan, Washington City and Washington County Leagues and was two-time league champion in singles and doubles in the 1960s, also winning the mixed doubles title.
He won the City League championship in 1956 and was a member of the Smith Auto Parts team which won the league championship.
Janflone participated in five American Bowling Congress tournaments in Atlantic City, Chicago and Fort Wayne, IN.
He bowled from 1938 through 1976 and had a 197 career average with a high series of 742 and a high game of 290.
