Ringgold and Charleroi High Schools, Waynesburg University
Jim Rue, with a career record of 206-79-21, coached girls’ soccer at Ringgold and Charleroi High Schools, earning a .708 winning percentage. At Ringgold, Rue achieved a 137-56-16 record and led the team to six WPIAL playoff appearances, with section championships in 1990 and 1991, and a trip to the PIAA semifinals in 1994. At Charleroi, he compiled a 69-23-5 record and helped the Cougars win section titles in 2014 and 2015. Charleroi reached the WPIAL finals in 2015, and that team also advanced to the PIAA playoffs. Rue coached the Waynesburg University women’s soccer team for six years (2004-2009) and previously served as an assistant men’s coach at Washington & Jefferson College. Rue’s career as a high school coach was marked by his never having a losing season and averaging nearly 13 wins per season.
