LLOYD J. BEDILLION
Lloyd J. Bedillion of Washington has been involved in bowling approximately 55 years.
In the 1940s, he bowled in a league in Coraopolis and had a 208 average. He also bowled in the Met League in Pittsburgh with a team sponsored by McClelland Motors of Washington. In 1948, he was Washington County champion in a field of more than 200 bowlers competing at the Brunswick Lanes in Washington.
Bedillion was a member of four different league championship teams during the 1956-57 season including Beatty Buick of the Community League Gold Division, Alpine Club, City Service League, Shannon Motors, County League National Division and Duggies Restaurant, Merchant League.
He has served as president of three divisions of the City Service League at Alpine Lanes and participated in more than 20 Peterson eight game tournaments and 20 ABC national tournaments.
He managed a bowling alley under the former Basle Theater at Main and Chestnut streets before entering the U.S. Navy in World War II.
Bedillion also bowled in the Greene County Traveling League for three seasons.
