Matthew is a three-year letter-winner in soccer and was the Cougars’ team captain last fall. He earned all-section honors after helping the Cougars compile a 15-2 overall record in 2024 and reach the WPIAL playoffs. A standout student with a 4.0 cumulative GPA, Burkholder will continue his academic and soccer careers at Washington and Jefferson College. He is the son of Dan and Jody Burkholder of Charleroi, Pa,
