Sue Osleger

Basketball, Softball and Volleyball Official

Donora High School, and PennWest Edinboro— A registered three-sport official for 48 years, Osleger has officiated numerous WPIAL and PIAA basketball, volleyball, and softball championship finals, including four softball state finals in four different decades. She has also worked many collegiate softball conference championships, including the 1991 NAIA National Championships. Presently, she still works the softball diamond at the collegiate and high school levels and is heavily involved in all levels of volleyball while working as a basketball evaluator for the WPIAL and PIAA. Osleger, who worked 26-years as a health and physical education teacher in the Ringgold School District, coached girls’ basketball as an assistant coach at Mon Valley Catholic and Elizabeth Forward before being the head coach at Ringgold High School from 1976-83. In college, she was part of an undefeated doubles team at Edinboro and the school’s first-ever catcher when the softball program was started. Sue is a proud recipient of the 2014 Tri-County Bill Christy Award for excellence in officiating, an award that her husband of more than 43 years, Robert, received in 2013.
