*He served as the head football coach at Moon High School from 1975-1978, Peters Township from 1978 through 1981, Trinity High School from 1981 through 1984.
*Terry was selected as the Washington County Coach of the Year in 1980.
*Kushner’s distinguished career in education went from 1969 until his retirement in 2002. Including teaching and administrative roles at Peters Township, Trinity, Baldwin, and Upper St. Clair where he retired as acting superintendent.
*All told, he served superintendent roles at three different schools and principal roles at three others. He also taught at Duquesne University.
*He received the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award in 1965 and was a two-year football starter at Colgate.
*Kushner was selected into the Upper St. Clair Academic Hall of Fame in 2010.
*Since 2009 Terry currently serves on the WPIAL Hall of Fame and Scholar Athlete Committees and previously served on the WPIAL Football Committee (1999-2000) and WPIAL Board of Control (2001-2000).
*Since retirement, Dr. Kushner has served as interim superintendent in the West Jefferson Hills and Montour School Districts and currently works as an adjunct professor at Chatham and Waynesburg Universities as well as serving as Co-Chair of the Teacher Leadership Academy.
*Dr. Kushner also, since 2012, currently serves on Trinity Area’s Sports Hall of Fame Committee.
