Boston, Program and Sports Director at WEEP — WDSY, in Pittsburgh and various talk shows on KDKA, WTAE & WWSW. TV, talk shows on KBL and other cable networks. Bill wrote a column for the Washington Observer-Reporter newspaper for 10 years.
Starting in 1971 SPORTSCALL has covered 20 Super Bowls, 9 World Series 4 Stanley Cup Finals, 4 NBA Finals and 6 NCAA Final Fours. SOPRTSCALL has been featured on all the Pittsburgh area and on the National level via television thru ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and ESPN and by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, USA Today, New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Sporting News and Wall Street Journal
He has raised over $2.5 million for various charities since 1981 and was honored in 1997 as the National Football League’s #1 Audio Service. Six time Associated Press “Best Soprtscast Cover/Major Market”.
He was the Public Address Announcer for the Pittsburgh Steelers for 7 years, University of Pittsburgh for 2 years, Pittsburgh Piranahs basketball (CBA) 1 year, New England Whalers (WHA) 2 years, filled in for the Boston Celtics and from 2002 to present the Washington Wild Things
Served on the Dapper Dan Board for Directors for 6 years and the Washington / Greene Chapter, P.S.H.F., Executive Committee along with serving as Chairman of “Best of Best” Washington Arts & Heritage Festival 2005.
