ANGELO MARINO

At Canon-McMillan, Angelo was a three time WPIAL champion, 1973-91 lbs, 1974-98 lbs., and 1975-105 lbs. A two-time P1AA champion, 1974-98 lbs. and 1975-105 lbs. He was a denied a chance to win a PIAA championship in 1973 as the PIAA did not recognize the 91 lb weight class at that time. Marino compiled an outstanding high school record of 78 wins and 2 losses for a winning percentage of .975.

He was selected to wrestle in the very first Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic.

A 1973 AAU National Freestyle Champion and a High School All-American in 1975.

At Indiana University he was a three time National Qualifier and completed his college career with a record of 97-22-4 for a winning percentage of .805. His overall high school and college wrestling record was 175-24-4 for a winning percentage of .872. Marino was inducted into the University of Indiana Wrestling Hall of Fame.

He has been a wrestling coach for 21 years. Was head wrestling coach at Trinity High School from 1999 thru 2001 and compiled a record of 17-8.
