• Waynesburg’s first Jr. Olympic Champion
• 76 – 9 career record including 22-1 as a senior
• 4 time section champion
• 4 time WPIAL finalist
• 3 time WPIAL champion
• 2 time PIAA semi-finalist

Clarion State University (1968 – 1972)

• Undefeated as a freshman
• 3 year starter and varsity letter winner
• 66-21-2 career record
• Team captain as a junior and senior
• PA conference champion
• 4th place finisher in the Small College National Championship
• 2 time NCAA Division One qualifier

Coaching
• Assistant at West Virginia University (1972 – 1973)
• Head Coach at Peters Township High School for 20 years starting in 1974
o Teams had over 150 wins with numerous section, regional and state place winners
• President of the WPIAL Wrestling Coaches Association from 1980 – 1986 serving on the Executive Board
• One of the first coaches to establish Olympic Style Wrestling as a club sport, and at one time his club hosted the largest freestyle tournament in Pennsylvania
• Volunteers as a Peters Township Jr. High School Coach

• Elected to the Southwest Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2010

• His father Raymond Murdock is a 2002 inductee of the Washington-Greene Sports Hall of Fame
