DR. PETER F. STRACCI

Peter was born in Pomaro, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1961 at the age of 9. He won the 1966 American Legion Citizenship Award in 1966. At Burgettstown High School he won the Petrucci Citizenship Award and the McElhaney Award for the Outstanding Senior football Player in 1970. He was captain of the Burgettstown Football team and was nominated to the Pennsylvania Big “33” football team.

At W & J College he was a 4 year football letterman, team captain in 1972 -’73, team Most Valuable Player in 1973, All Conference PAC in 1972-’73, Honorable Mention All-State in 1972, All District in 1973 and named as one of the Outstanding College Athletes in America in 1973. Peter was a 1974 Who’s Who selection for All-American Colleges And Universities. He was a heavyweight wrestler for W &J in his senior year. The Cleveland Browns signed him as a Free agent linebacker in 1974.

Dr. Stracci is a registered Pharmacist, University of Pittsburgh and is a Cardiologist with the Pennsylvania Heart Group. He was inducted into the Washington & Jefferson College Hall of Fame, Class of 2000.
