GEORGE J. MUCEY

George J. Mucey, a native of Illinois, attended Washington & Jefferson College and the University of Pittsburgh. He was a minor league baseball player and manager and later served as a scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Mucey was active in the Pony Baseball organization, and served a term as president of the Boys Baseball World Series Board. He was an insurance executive for many years and later went into the real estate business.

Mucey was active in a wide range of civic projects and received a number of awards for his service. He founded the Washington Toastmasters Club and served a term as president of Toastmasters International.
