• Graduated in 1984 as Wash High’s all time leading receiver with 61 receptions for 1079 yards
• Selected to the Observer-Reporter All-Decade Scholastic Football Team – Best of the 1980s
• All Century Conference selection in football and basketball: 1983 and 1984
• 3 year varsity starter and senior co-captain of the 1984 Washington High School WPIAL and PIAA championship basketball team that was inducted into the Wash-Greene Sports Hall of Fame in 2000
• Member of the 1984 Wash High WPIAL AAA Track and Field 1600 meter championship relay team
• Hurdler and sprinter for the Washington teams that won three WPIAL AAA Track and Field team championships
• 2005 inductee into the Washington High School Sports Wall of Fame

Dodge City Community College
• Graduated in 1986 as the all-time leader at the time in receptions for a career – 45, receiving yards in a season – 506 yards, and receiving yards career – 754 yards
• 1984 NJCAA Kansas Jayhawk Conference first team receiver

West Virginia University
• 3 year football letterman
• Member of the 1987 Sun Bowl team
• 1988 Pittsburgh Dapper Dan Collegiate Senior Award winner
• Third leading receiver on the 1988 Fiesta Bowl team that played Notre Dame for the National Championship
• Selected by the West Virginia coaching staff as a lifetime member of the Mountaineer Club for outstanding performance
• Four time honoree for outstanding game performance

• Assistant men’s basketball coach at Washington & Jefferson from 1990 – 1992
• Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) champions – 1992
• Selected in 2002 and 2003 as the Baltimore Sun and Washington Post Boys Indoor and Outdoor Track Coach of the Year
