JEFF PETRUCCI

Jeff Petrucci, graduate, California State College, a four-sports star at Charleroi High School, Jeff went on to California and distinguished himself as a player and coach.

Jeff excelled at quarterback and became a two-time NAIAAII-American in 1967 and 1968 and was named the 1968 Tri-State Small College Playerof-the-Year while leading the NAIA in total offense in 1967 and 1968 and California to a PSAC cochampionship in 1968.

His 2,944 total offensive yards gained in 1968 continues to be a school record and ranks third in PSAC history.

Jeff compiled an incredible 517 total yards (411 passing and 106 rushing) against Edinboro in 1968, which also is a school and PSCA record.

He set the PSAC championship game records of 27 completions, 52 attempts and 358 passing yards. His school record of 6,297 total offensive yards lasted 16 years.

He coached football at Belle Vernon High School for six years, guiding them to three conference championships while compiling a 46-16-1 record. He returned to California and coached football from 1981 through 1992. His 1984 California team won the PSAC West title and their first PSAC championship in 26 years.

Jeff received coaching honors from the Kodak NCAA Division II (east Region) and the Washington Knights of Columbus. He is a member of the Belle Vernon Football, California University, Mid-Mon Valley, Charleroi and Western Pennsylvania Hall of Fames.

Jeff and his wife, Melanie, reside in Charleroi and are the parents of three daughters, Jocelyn, Jaimyn and Jordan.
