Paul E. Hundermark, a native of Pittsburgh, is a 1928 graduate of Washington High School, where he was an All-WPIAL football player in 1926 and 1927. After playing football and baseball at Bellefonte, PA.

Hundermark played semipro baseball in Washington for Jessop Steel and Washington Eagles, competing against such teams as the Homestead Grays and Honus Wagner All-Stars. He started umpiring district baseball games in 1947 with a group organized by the late Washington baseball rules authority, Dr. Harry M. Cohen.

Hundermark, who also umpired many college games in southwestern PA., worked with such well-known district umpires as Dutch Haas, Fats Mansfield, Banty Reihner, Carl Falcione, Fred Ryland, Jimmy Russell and Angelo Moyer. His umpiring career covered more than 30 years.

He is a resident of R.D. 1, Waynesburg.
